Chia-Wei Liao graduated from Peabody Conservatory with a master's degree in piano performance and a Graduate Performance Diploma under the studio of Ellen Mack. During her studies at Peabody, she was actively involved in piano accompaniments.

 

Ms. Liao received a Graduate Assistantship in Accompanying in 2018 and was a piano accompanist at Peabody Preparatory from 2017-2020. She has been recognized by the Sarah Stulman Zierler Prize in Accompanying in 2018 and the Clara Ascherfeld Award in Piano Accompaniment in 2020.

 

Ms. Liao is currently the pianist of Soulcube Piano Trio, an ensemble formed in 2022. They held a series of concerts, called "Seasons of Formosa", dedicated to exploring Taiwan folk songs by presenting them in various styles with new arrangements. 

" Where words fail, music speaks." Ms. Liao is committed to guiding students through challenges, and helping them discover the richness and diversity of music.
