Violin

 Yi-Jung Lin (Annie)

ABOUT

Born in Chiayi, Taiwan, Annie studied with Nancy Tsung (宗緒嫻) during her primary school years. At the age of 11, she moved to the UK and joined the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Junior School program, where she studied under Jacqueline Ross, who is also a professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

From the age of 15 to 17, Annie was a pupil at Chetham’s School of Music in

Manchester, studying with Wen Zhou Li.Later, she received scholarship offers from the Royal Academy of Music (RAM), Royal College of Music (RCM), and Royal Northern College of

Music (RNCM) to study in their BMus programs.

She eventually moved to London to study at RAM,where she was mentored by Professor 

Mateja Marinkovic. Annie also holds a diploma in violin performance (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music).

As a classically trained crossover violinist and freelance singer, Annie has participated in numerous music events over the years. She is passionate about music education and is an experienced violin teacher, working with students of all ages and levels, from preschoolers to seniors and beginners to advanced students. Her tailored teaching methods ensure each student learns in a way that suits them best.

 

In addition to teaching both classical and non-classical genres, Annie specialises in preparing students for ABRSM examinations.

Annie is also a mother of two, a coffee lover, and teaches in both Mandarin and English. Her goal is to help students reach their full potential while enjoying their musical journey.
