Pin-Wen Wang

ABOUT 

Pin-Wen Wang graduated from the National Taiwan Normal University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with a Master's Degree.She studied with Yi-Chi Shih, Ching-Chi Ko, Liwen Dai, Niklas Schmidt and Arto Noras.

Her long professional training and performance experience have made her passionate about 

cello performance and music education, and she is committed to passing on her knowledge and experience to her students.She has participated in many important performances and concerts, including concert halls and radio broadcasts both domestically and internationally. In 2006, she performed the Dvorak Cello Concerto with the New Music Ensemble of the National Taiwan Normal University,and in 2007, she was

selected as a member of the freelance of the Taipei Symphony Orchestra,and in 2008, she was invited by pianist

Chen Guanyu to participate in the “Chen Guanyu's Musical Child's Tale Journey: A Journey Through the World of Do Re Mi” concert tour. In 2012, she performed with the Baroque Camerata in the “Seeking the Soulmate” concert tour. She has also given solo recitals at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Germany, and was selected to give a recital at the Bach Hall in Taipei in the Bach New Voices Concert Series. 2024, she performed in concerts with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra.

As a cello teacher, she focuses on inspiring her students' musical potential and providing personalized guidance, both technically and expressively, to help them progress along the musical path. Through her teaching, she hopes to inspire her students' love of music and their pursuit of excellence.

This piece, Bach's Cello Suite No. 6 in D Major, is the last of his unaccompanied cello suites.

The entire work is written in D Major, resembling sunlight shining upon the earth, filled with joy and brightness.

This performance features an excerpt from the sixth movement—the Gigue, characterized by a lively and jumping melody that makes one want to dance, bringing a joyful and bright conclusion to the entire series.
