Guided Jazz Music Concert
This is the music you can hear everywhere—in cafes, bars, or movies: unstable offbeat accents, swinging rhythms, deliberately unclean improvisations and slides, and layers upon layers of chords...
Behind the rebellious freedom of jazz lies countless strict theoretical rules and the bittersweet experiences of many musicians. Jazz chooses to express the complexities of life with a carefree, humorous, and relaxed attitude, revealing that life is not as carefree and easy as it seems.
The Jazz Lecture Concert Series invites the country's top jazz musicians to perform while telling stories, allowing the audience to appreciate another side of jazz more deeply, hearing that life is like music, and music is like life.

In 2020, we have created a brand new jazz series that combines “Red Wine • Coffee • Travel” lectures, starting from taste, smell, and memory to experience different facets of life. We invite professionals from the fields of red wine, travel, and coffee to join musicians in illustrating how closely our senses are connected to music.
The first session, “Rich. Jazz,” will use red wine as a map and music as a guide, leading the audience to listen to the world's landscapes, savor the magic of time's transformation, and feel the bittersweetness of human emotions. “The Swing Era of Big Bands”
Jazz Lecture by Wei Guanghao
04/26/2019 19:30
Starting in the 1930s, this music genre began to spread in the United States. In addition to popular and moving pieces, it also gave rise to many bandleader musicians, such as the well-known Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Glenn Miller. These musicians made jazz, which originated in New Orleans, no longer just the domain of Black musicians.
The repertoire this time is Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3, specifically the first movement of the cadenza (Isha Italian version). Mozart (1756-1791) was born in Salzburg in 1756 and composed a total of 5 violin concertos. In 1775, at the age of 19, Mozart composed this Violin Concerto No. 3. The film features the cadenza at the end of the first movement, composed by Isha, the "King of Violins."
