An accidental conversation with composer Kamalov was like a match striking, igniting a warm spark in the dark night.
After years of studying classical and contemporary music, flutist Liao Yi-Hsien generously shares his treasured private repertoire, aiming to showcase more possibilities of music through beautiful melodies (or the absence of melody!) and to reconnect the audience with the sound, allowing the soul to be free.
This time, he has also invited his old comrade—pianist Lin Juan-Yi—to participate in the interview. They will discuss how this childhood friend has guided him into the world of contemporary music and how they experience joy and sorrow together through melodies.
We hope to share this pure emotion with you through the powerful expressiveness and tension of music.
